Revenge! Blood! Incest! Betrayal! Infidelity! Death - what more could you want from a Jacobean tragedy.p>'Tis pity' is widely considered a classic of English drama, although well into the 20th century critics condemned it because of its themes. It tells of doomed love of a brother and sister but also shows how other relationships and institutions are at least as morally questionable. In a thrillingly gripping plot the two main protagonists drag the surrounding society with them into their inevitable tragedy.
